It was a quiet week so had the whole place to myself, but everything I needed was at the hostel/bunkhouse. Basic breakfast available for a cheap price, good WiFi, beautiful nature surroundings and quiet so I could get a good night's sleep. Good budget accommodation to stay for a few nights. Hexham is a 17 minutes drive with bus, the bus came only every second hour, but was always on time, so getting back and forth was relatively easy.

This YHA hostel is set in a beautifully converted 240-year-old former granary. This Grade II listed building offers self-catering accommodation with private bathrooms and an art gallery. Attached washroom was awesome. The reception was great. Parking provided. Fully stocked Kitchen. Nearby supermarket. Loved reading about the history about the building. Lighthouse is just 4mins away, which is a great viewpoint, must visit during sunsets.
