The family that runs the place will make you feel at home. They care dearly about their guests and will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. If you stay here, know that the dinners and breakfasts are cooked by the mom of the family, and she's an exceptional cook. What's more, most of the food is grown in their garden downstairs. On our last night we had a lengthy conversation with the eldest son of the family, about jordanian culture and traditions, which was extremely interesting. The rooms are great and spacious, with comfortable beds, have a mini fridge and the hostel is 12 minutes drive trough a gorgeous road. Last but not least, as the name says the place has a breathtaking view over the mountains that surround Petra. If you have dinner here you'll enjoy a beautiful view of the sunset behind the mountains.

This is one of the nicest hotels that we have stayed in Jordan - excellent host, wonderful facilities, prime location and it has everything that you can ask for. We loved our stay here and this is highly recommended if you want to stay very near to the Petra Visitor Center without compromising on any of the amenities.

The walking distance is around 15 mins. Located in the heart of the city. Good restaurants and local market around. Since I was a solo traveller, I was quite worried about being scammed. However, the host helped me around with local shopping, ensured I did not get scammed with tourist tax. He was kind! Also, he’s a great cook. Very reliable in that sense. I didn’t feel worried at all. 10/10 recommend staying at Z Hostel. Ps. He also manages Wadi Rum tours. Pps. The host is also a great calligrapher (:

The room was clean and comfortable, with a really big bed. Altogether this property is perfect for visiting Pétra if you have a car (it's located uphill).

He is very service minded and make you stay like home. Rooms are comfortable and the common space are spacious. Homemade breakfast is insane, very yummy and lot of variety. Close to Petra by car 5 mins, really recommended.

We were the only guests in the hostel during our trip nights in December. The host is nice, the beds are comfortable, the place was quiet, therefore we had a good sleep. The AC heated the room well in winter. In any case, the perfect place for the price.
