The family that runs the place will make you feel at home. They care dearly about their guests and will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. If you stay here, know that the dinners and breakfasts are cooked by the mom of the family, and she's an exceptional cook. What's more, most of the food is grown in their garden downstairs. On our last night we had a lengthy conversation with the eldest son of the family, about jordanian culture and traditions, which was extremely interesting. The rooms are great and spacious, with comfortable beds, have a mini fridge and the hostel is 12 minutes drive trough a gorgeous road. Last but not least, as the name says the place has a breathtaking view over the mountains that surround Petra. If you have dinner here you'll enjoy a beautiful view of the sunset behind the mountains.

We booked a Family Room as a couple. The room is amazing - very clean, very modern, own bathroom. Free parking next to it, close to Petra by foot. The host is unmatched by his kindness! He loves to get in touch with his customers and exchange about cultural differences alongside very good tea - he also likes to invite people to his family’s wedding, sadly there wasn’t one around the time we stayed :( For extra payment he prepares breakfast, lunch or dinner - we had an amazing breakfast at 6 a.m. (time can be discussed with him), a perfect start for our long journey through Petra! Also close proximity to Petra. The walking distance is around 15 mins. Located in the heart of the city. Good restaurants and local market around. Since I was a solo traveller, I was quite worried about being scammed. However, the host helped me around with local shopping, ensured I did not get scammed with tourist tax. He was kind! Also, he’s a great cook. Very reliable in that sense. I didn’t feel worried at all. 10/10 recommend staying at Z Hostel. Ps. He also manages Wadi Rum tours. Pps. The host is also a great calligrapher (:

The owner was really kind and helpful, he gave us the best welcome. The room was clean and comfortable, with a really big bed. Altogether this property is perfect for visiting Pétra if you have a car (it's located uphill).

Ponudila nam je večerjo, ki je bila odlična, za nizko ceno. Stanovanje je bilo čisto in lepo urejeno. Zvečer smo dobili svež čaj.

Spacious, clean and beautiful, the host is very friendly and accommodating, air conditioners inside the rooms, hot water, in a quiet neighborhood and very close to the Petra, only 10 minutes by car, there is a large parking lot, I recommend asking Dinner and breakfast because they are so delicious.

One of the most comfortable beds I slept on, the host was also so lovely and accommodating making our stay very comfortable. It is a cosy hotel so please bare that in mind.
