Set in Shirakawa, 150 metres from Shirakawago, GuestHouse Shirakawa-Go INN offers accommodation with a shared lounge and free private parking. The owners are so nice and friendly and it's located in a good location.

Only a 2-minute walk from JR Takayama Station, K's House Takayama Oasis offers free WiFi throughout the property. The beds were really comfortable. I also enjoyed the capsule style rooms. It felt quite private with the curtain closed. After a chilly day outside, the hostel itself was an all around cozy place to come back to. It also had a really convenient location near the station, a convenience store, and some restaurants.
