Situato sulle rive del fiume Tugela, a 22 km a nord di Winterton, il Tugela River Lodge offre sistemazioni a ristorazione indipendente a 13 km dalla Riserva Naturale Spioenkop e a 22 km dal Winterton... Everything is made with so much passion and love. Couldn’t be better. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The lodge is situated very nice and surrounded by a beautiful environment. I will definitely come again.

Il Birches Cottage sorge su una strada sterrata, a 5 km dal vilaggio di Underberg. La struttura offre percorsi naturalistici, piscine sul fiume, aree picnic, terrazze e aree di osservazione. Un bellissimo cottage di legno immerso nella natura selvaggia, a pochi km dal Sani Pass. Meraviglioso il risveglio con il suono del fiume e gli uccellini. Proprietari molto disponibili e gentili, ci hanno rilasciato un voucher nel loro ristorante al centro, dove abbiamo fatto un’ottima colazione. Consigliato per chi ama la natura, il relax e il silenzio. Grazie 🙏

Dotato di un bar, il Greenfire Drakensberg Lodge si trova a Kruisfontein. La struttura è alimentata a energia solare e offre baite di tronchi in stile canadese. A little piece of paradise, everything 5 star standard. Wouldn't change a thing. Tranquility at its best! Rooms clean, food superb, and staff friendly. Beautiful hikes, horse riding, fishing.... Loved the fact it was exclusive and not loads of people. Need to spend a week there next time!

Montusi Mountain Lodge offers a bar and is located 44 km from Bergville. Guests receive free Wi-Fi access, a children's playground and a swimming pool. Montusi Lodge will always be among the most special places we have ever visited. The grounds are gorgeous and location stunning - remote, with birdsong, epic views towards the Drakensberg amphitheatre and spectacular skies. The food is superb with a daily changing menu and we looked forward to 4 course dinners each evening (and the wine list!). We stayed 5 nights and hiked every day. Before we got there, Dumisani was super helpful with pre-organising transfers to the Royal Natal National Park (about 25km) which has fabulous hiking. Shorter self-guided trails can also be done on the Montusi estate, right from the lodge. A really impressive operation for such a remote location and hosts Lindsey & Mick and their lovely team are to be congratulated. Thanks for making us so welcome and accommodating our thirst for the great outdoors!

Located around a privately owned lake with views of the Drakensberg mountain range, Sani Valley Nature Lodges offers secluded chalet accommodation in a tranquil setting with game viewing... It was so beautiful and peaceful here. Loved the outdoor jacuzzi and used it daily!

Located just 8.2 km from Monks Cowl Country Club, Ondini Guest House features accommodation in Winterton with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. Excellent Host and accommodation in a beautiful area. The location is perfect, a little off for a very peaceful atmosphere. The house is huge and offers everything necessary for a great stay.

Situated within a nature reserve in Kamberg Valley, Qambathi Mountain Lodge offers accommodation with free WiFi. Complimentary private parking is available on site. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. Woke up to horses and zebra’s grazing on the grass in front of the room which was magical. There were multiple indoor and outdoor areas to sit and read, chat or just take in the beautiful surroundings. The food is impeccable with the kitchen staff aware of coeliac requirements and went out of their way to have gluten free alternatives available. The staff were all very friendly and available if you needed them, but also not intrusive. Was a solo traveller and would go again when in the area.

Overlooking the Spioenkop Game Reserve, Three Tree Hill Lodge offers luxury accommodation. It features a sun deck next to an outdoor swimming pool. There are hiking trails and guided tours available. The location feels extremely remote and stunning. The feeling of being in a treehouse is beautiful. The views onto Spioenkop game reserve, from the main terrace, from the room veranda and from on walks are special. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay personal and warm.
