Desert Palms is a 3.5-star property offering individual studio villa accommodation, surrounded by tropical gardens and set around a crystal clear swimming pool with island and waterfall. Its location is perfect, it has a kitchenette, the rooms are a generous size, and the pool is quite refreshing. The staff are helpful and very friendly. We loved the surrounding palm trees. In addition, a crew worked constantly to do repairs and clean in the early morning.

It was nice to be in a room with aircon and a comfortabel bed after camping in the hot weather in Litchfield and Kakadu National Park the previous days. I wish I could have stayed for longer.

Guys stay here were nice，they are not rich，but truly kind and authentic，even much better than those we meet outside the residence，we make a few friends here. Bath room very tidy， hot big water 24 hours… fully equipped kitchen，private freezer if you stay in private room…close to the town center.

Our room was large, comfortable and clean. It was located in a very central location so we could walk around Alice Springs knowing the car was safely in the hotel carpark. Uncle’s Tavern was full of life and a great place to meet some local people.

From the outside this motel looks pretty run down and bleak. But, the room was surprisingly nice. Comfortable bed, good bath and shower, private enclosed parking area if you are lucky to get a spot.
