Situated only 4 minutes’ walk from central Ohakune, The Central Motel & Lodge features an outdoor hot tub. All studios and apartments include self-catering facilities and electric blankets. Apparently the rooms were renovated 5 years ago but they are still spotless. Real quality in the kitchen, wonderful comfortable bed and the first bathroom on our trip that didn’t have some sort of issue, in fact it was super. Great location, super friendly and helpful hosts , I doubt there’s much better comfort and value in Okakune .

Situated in a quiet location off the main highway in National Park Village, Adventure Lodge and Motel is family-run accommodation offering free unlimited Wi-Fi access and a comfortable guest lounge... Incredible staff at this motel. Breakfast and also check in staff were very very friendly and helpful. Rooms were big and in good condition. Spa pool free off charge was nice too.

Alpine Motel offers warm and comfortable accommodation in central Ohakune. Outstanding new high speed wifi access in every unit. The motel features a Spa Pool, FREE high speed WIFI and SKY TV. Good location, very simple, clean, comfortable room. nice private carpark. Very nice resident cat.

Tongariro Springs Boutique Suites is located in Tongariro National Park. The room was very comfortable, but could have used a rug or mat at the inside of the doorway to help keep the muck from our shoes coming into the room (it was so rainy while we were there, we weren’t comfortable leaving them outside). Really appreciated the drying room. If we come back to the park, we would probably try to stay here again.

The Hobbit Motorlodge offers a hot tub and free unlimited WiFi. It is a 50-minute drive from the Tongariro Crossing, and the property can arrange for a drop-off service at a charge. Very helpful Manager and warm, tidy rooms. Best value for money in town. The spa is an added bonus
