I stayed here the night I arrived, in the middle of my trip in transit through San Jose, and also the last night before I flew out. Each time I arrived I felt like I'd come home. Everything is lovely - the people, the atmosphere, the beautiful pool and view, the rooms, and the breakfast. It's definitely worth getting a superior room, they are beautiful with little balconies and wonderful views. They also have the sweetest cats around. I will definitely be coming back here and would recommend to anyone coming to San Jose!

Breakfast at the pool was good, too. The lodge is actually even nicer in reality than shown in the photos. We needed about 35min. by car to get to the airport. We would return any time.

The cabin was beautiful, all timber which smelled amazing and was fitting for the location. Beautiful big windows looking out towards the river and the absolute best shower we had in a 13 day trip. Alicia who's grandfather was one the pioneers of the valley was absolutely delightful and provided us with outstanding service, and it was fantastic to learn her families history. We genuinely hope to come back and visit again.

The breakfast looked good, however we didn’t try it. We arrived late at night and the receptionist was very friendly and nice!

This luxurious hotel is located in San Jose City Centre and features an on-site gourmet restaurant, free parking and free Wi-Fi. Hotel Grano de Oro also offers massage services and a rooftop garden. The hotel has a 24h reception which really helped us because of a flight delay. All staff were extremely supportive and friendly. Room was clean and well equipped, minibar contents were all free. Breakfast location is absolutely marvelous.

There is a short trail to the waterfall which we also liked. Food and service in the restaurant was great too and for a decent price.
