Hotel Sophia is located in an upcoming neighborhood where the Tartu University of Science and Technology, as well as hospital are within a short walk away. The hotel is outside of central Tartu, next to a large shopping mall. It seemed to be very popular with families with small kids. The city centre is easily accessible by car or by bus. The room was nice, comfortable and clean, the wifi worked well, breakfast was good (although almost the same every morning), the free parking lot was huge.

Alatskivi Castle is a 16th century manor that's reconstruction was finished in the 19th century for Neo-Gothic style. If offers classically furnished castle rooms, with one located on the tower. We liked everything. Breakfast is basically gluten free if you opt out of the pastries/pancakes etc

Located 300 metres from Tartu City Museum, Hugo Apartment Hotel offers 3-star accommodation in Tartu and features a fitness centre, a garden and a terrace. I ran into an issue and even tho it was the weekend they still helped me really fast.

The small and comfortable Hansa Hotel is only a few minutes away from the centre of Tartu, close to the shopping centres and the Emajögi River. Free Wi-Fi is provided. Everything.... Room was like something from a fairytale, private patio, big comfy bed. The entire hotel was filled with old stuff, like walkin through a museum. Staff friendly and serviceminded. We stayed here for 3 nights. When we return this is our number one choice.

Perfect location (city center), cozy room, and nice breakfast (pancakes were delicious - gonna miss those). Really loved it!
