Crover House Hotel & Golf Club is located on the North-East shores of Lough Sheelin Lake between Cavan and Ballyjamesduff. This was a random pick for us on way back to Dublin airport. It was an unexpected beautiful drive as well as an unexpected beautiful setting that was our place of stay! Would highly recommend if you are on a self drive through the countryside

This 18th-century castle has a quiet location, looking out over huge grounds and beautiful countryside. It is now a 4-star hotel, mixing original character with modern luxury and free parking. Beautiful hotel and lovely staff. Clean and well maintained. Dinner was spectacular really enjoyed the atmosphere. Just walk and enjoy the architecture and nature! Situated in Virginia, 16 km from Loughcrew Historical Gardens & Visitor Centre, St Kyrans Guest House features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Very comfortable room, incredibly clean and fantastic breakfast.

Situated in Cavan, within 17 km of Maudabawn Cultural Centre and 25 km of Monastery of Kells, The Bailie features accommodation with a bar and as well as free private parking for guests who drive. On first impression you would think a 2 star would be sub standard parts of it is just the decor & well worn setting in the front bar however the rooms are of a 4 star quality ( brand new refurbished) there is alot to aesthetically but the welcome we recieved was second to none nothing was a problem . The beds are super comfortable along with an excellent shower & complimentary toiletries/ tea coffee . The food was great value for money and the burgers delicious, staff although all young had excellent customer service skills . We had to leave early and the chef came in 1hr earlier to ensure we had a breakfast, and gave us fresh fruit salad and homemade scones to go . Thanks to Pat for opening up the dining room earlier . We will definitely return .

Ideally located on the outskirts of Cavan, the Cavan Crystal Hotel is less than 5 minutes' drive from the town centre. The reception staff went above and beyond to help me when my luggage got left at my previous hotel, they made calls and sorted out various ways to get it back to me.

The Hotel is magnificent. Well manicured and staff is very receptive and friendly. The room was good and very smart.

The spa with a large heated outdoor pool There are bathrobes in every room - no need to change in a busy changing room as you put on your swimming costume and bathrobe in your room and walk to the spa. In addition, the rooms had large very comfortable beds.

Situated in the centre of Cavan town on the main street, The Farnham Arms Hotel features a bar and restaurant. Great location in County Cavan town. Wonderful staff. Comfortable rooms with a lift for those heavy bag.
