Nestled on the shores of Loch Lein, The Lake Hotel has magnificent mountain views. Just 2km from Killarney, a restaurant and the hotel has en suite rooms. The Lake Hotel has its charm and nostalgia being situated in Killarney National Park overlooking Muckross Lake. The Lake Hotel was able to move our check-in date forward one day for a two nights stay without charge. We requested to be seated for breakfast by the window to admire the beautiful lake views. We had clothes laundry service with same day turnaround time. Live music entertainment was played in the bar lounge on both nights. On our day of arrival, our room was not ready as we checked in much earlier than scheduled time. We sat by the bar for drinks and were greeted by Niall Huggard, General Manager and Co-Proprietor of the Lake Hotel. How's that for hotel service?

Staff are ALL pleasant and knowledgeable and willing to help in any way. Common areas are all lovely, working fireplace near entrance, a library room, Pub and Bistro were great. Waitstaff and bartenders were simply and willing to make any drink for you. Bistro setup more like a very comfortable living ro, plenty of space. Food was tops, fish, salmon, apps and mains all high marks. Great hotel for walking along the waterway, the falls, local low traveled road, woods and cemetery! We ended up with a fantastic corner suite. Upgraded without prodding or cajoling. Very large, nice views on 2 sides, very large bath with shower and tub.

Perfect location, beautiful building, incredible staff (friendly, helpful and efficient). I stay in 75+ hotels a year and this one is in the top few. Breakfast is nicely presented, delicious and fast. Staff are very attentive. No negatives at all. Concierge is top notch.

A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Tino, the charming Indian Portuguese, who ensured everything was perfect from the moment we arrived, especially during breakfast. Your attentiveness truly made a difference. We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to Ms. Lais Silva, whose efforts made our anniversary celebration extraordinarily special. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. They helped me find parking, and even lent me some coins to pay for parking when the credit card reader stopped working while I worked with my bank to deal with an issue. The location is perfect, both for things in town, and very close to the National Park. The breakfast was also very good.
