The location is not too bad, as there is a small beach very close but also you can walk in 15 mins to the city center or taxis will bring you there for 100den/~1.70€. Villa Sofija is located on the beachfront in Ohrid, a 2-minute walk from Saraiste Beach and 400 yards from Potpesh Beach. Each room at the 4-star hotel has city views and free WiFi. Great central location in old town, close to the lake. We parked at the castle gates because we got lost in the very narrow streets of old town trying to find the parking lot in front of the villa. Either way, parking is free and the walk in less than 10 minutes. The villa is just like a hotel, nice shower, comfortable beds. Complementary snack bars, water and coffee. Filip is very lovely and easy to get ahold of with questions.

The city is very nice. There are a lot of things to be seen, and very nice things to be bought. The hotel is very well placed in very good harmony with the relax zones (lake Ohrid) and the commercial sites. The meals, especially the local once, are very good.

The place is located on the side of the mountain with small road leading up to it. There are also parking spots on top so you don't have to park on a slope.
