It was recently opened a couple of months ago, everything is very well organized and maintained. Rooms are very spacious, clean, comfortable and with a nice terrace. The common area with the pool and restaurant is spacious and very inviting. Breakfast was delicious. Locations is great at the end of a famous street in Valladolid with many shops and a couple of min walk to the center. Staff was very helpful and friendly too. I rarely give a 10 but this hotel deserves it.

Puerto del cielo is a super cute family run hotel in a lovely peaceful spot by the sea, and away from the toursit bustle of Progresso to the East. Jill and Randy were the most helpful and lovely hosts who really looked after me, including hooking me up with a bike rental and pointing me towards local rustic spots to grab food. The rooms are incredibly nice and tastefully done, and I loved my twenty yard stroll down into the warm ocean then sits in the thatch covered veranda watching the waves and writing. I will come again.

Hintataso on paljon halvempi kuin rantakohteissa. ADO-bussilla pääsee Chitchen Itzaan edestakaisin 6 eurolla. Taksimatka edestakaisin alueen kauneimpiin cenoteihin Palomitas ja Aqua Dulce maksaa vähän päälle 10 euroa suuntaansa. Kaupunki vaikuttaa turvalliselta myös yksin matkustaville. Auttava espanjan kielen taito nopeuttaa asioiden käsittelyä.
