Separate from the resort, I had hired a private driver who attempted to extort me. Luckily I escaped the situation and a driver from the resort picked me up. Still, the driver continued to contact me asking for money and threatening to call the police. He even called the hotel several times. After explaining the situation the hotel staff were very understanding and helped to ward him off. Long story short, the staff will make you feel safe here! Anyway, they offer a range of fun cultural and physical activities to try. I did the Bedouin house tour, Sunset drive, Sand Boarding (highly recommend, good fun), and Camel ride. The food at the restaurant is good and portions are generous. The pool was nice and I wish I used it more.

Safari Desert Camp offers accommodation in Al Sharqiyah. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Free private parking is available on site. All accommodations are either chalets or tents. The sunset and sunrise there are just exceptionnel ! The staff is kind and very helpful, the food is also great.
