Boasting an open-air bath and views of mountain, Onsen Guest House Tsutaya is a recently renovated ryokan situated in Hakone, 6.5 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Incredibly kind, friendly and helpful staff. Our stay coincided with their 4th anniversary and there was a fun sake party. The common areas were clean, quiet and comfortable to lounge in, and the kitchen had all the amenities. Indoor and outdoor onsens were very relaxing and nicely designed. The dormitory bunkbed cubes were surprisingly cozy and comfortable. Overall, a great place to stay, highly recommended!

Set in Hakone, 8.3 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, Hakone Gora KARAKU offers accommodation with a sauna, a hot spring bath and a public bath. The hotel is stunning, and the room we had was amazing .. we stayed in the Japanese West wing. The room contained four different pairs of footwear and so many gadgets, sadly more than we could take advantage of. We dressed in traditional garments for meals and enjoyed the hot spring bath. We could not fault the room, the staff or the quality of the exceptional food experience. Everyone was wonderful.

The staff was amazing and super accommodating. The private onsen was a great experience and really nice that your room gets an hour per day.

Situated in Tokyo, 300 metres from Asakusa Fujiasama Shrine and 7.5 km from the centre, cyashitsu ryokan asakusa features air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and an open-air bath. Loved everything about our stay, the staff were incredible - each time we saw them it felt like coming home. The onsen was lovely and I’m so glad we tried the dinner, it was incredible. The rooms and the building have such a calm feeling, it was like a little sanctuary in Asakusa.
