Jason at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. It’s a 10£ cab fare from the train station. Beds were very comfortable, and the room was nice. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and pans for making a meal. Breakfast was excellent: scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, beans, waffles, dry cereal, juice, croissants, muffins and fresh fruit. Will return!

Lesley is a lovely person and I really enjoyed my stay there. The location is residential -- so the guest won't have to bear with any party noise. There is a bus station nearby so location-wise, it is convenient for me. I need to highlight that the cat and dog in the house are the cutest ones ever. Sheraz the host was fantastic and certainly went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for him. When he became aware I was travelling for a funeral he told me not to worry. He picked me up from Eldon Square bus station and indeed took me back there For my return journey on the Saturday. Sheraz was an excellent host I would not hesitate to recommend his accommodation and would be more than happy to return for another stay. A nice friendly and comfortable place to stay.

Loved the Old Cricket Pavilion, very quiet, nice and peaceful place and brilliant for star watching!! Such a lovely place and exactly like the photos!! Very clean place and plenty of towels to use!! Loved the fireplace!! Good value for money and had a lovely surprise with bits of food left for us which was an added bonus!! Only a short walk to the river!! Very close to the train station too if you’re interested going into Newcastle only 30 mins away!! Overall loved our stay!!
