Well located in the centre of Funchal, Barceló Funchal Oldtown provides air-conditioned rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a fitness centre. Apparently it’s only been open since February so we’re we’re delighted to find it such an amazing hotel fright in the middle of the city. Great facilities and pool on the roof.

Amazing hotel, in a superb location, with lots of great restaurants and bars in a walking distance. The staff is super kind and attentive, the room is clean and comfortable, the rooftop bar and the swimming pool are just perfect, providing us with a great relaxation after a busy day touring the island. Would absolutely stay again, highly recommended!

Featuring free WiFi, São Francisco Accommodation is a renovated building with 6 floors and a lift. It offers modern rooms in Funchal, within a 5-minute walk from the harbour. Really friendly and helpful staff. In our room we could make a coffee or tea. Nice localization and breakfast included. I was really enjoying this place.

Saccharum - Resort & Spa is a luxury 5-star design hotel located on Calheta Beach, between the mountains of Madeira and the Atlantic Ocean. Fantastic Everything was WOW ! Hotel is super clean , staff friendly and helpful, breakfast delicious and variety of drinks and food.

L'Aqua Natura Madeira, de 4 estrelles, està situat al poble pesquer de Porto Moniz, a 45 km al nord del centre de Funchal. Ofereix habitacions elegants amb vistes a l'oceà Atlàntic i sauna. View of the ocean was amazing. You could just sit in a balcony all day and enjoy the view or sleep with a window open..sound of the waves was very soothing. Having an arrival drink was a nice touch. Also free private access to sauna - meaning for a particular slot no need to share it with others. Also free access to natural pools outside!

Perched on a cliff facing the Atlantic Ocean, this design hotel is within a renovated traditional farmhouse. The staff and the facilities provided were really good. They also provide organized hikes with drop and pickups.

L'Hotel Baía Azul, de 4 estrelles, gaudeix d'una ubicació ideal a prop del passeig marítim de Funchal i ofereix una piscina exterior amb una terrassa amb vista sobre l'oceà Atlàntic. A nice and spacious room with a great view from the balcony! Massive breakfast too! Loved my stay here and would recommend to others! The staff were also friendly and accommodating!

This restored Madeiran mansion is located 900 metres from Funchal's Old Town and has scenic views of the sea, the city and the mountains from its own botanical gardens and terraces. We missed our connection flight and arrived to the hotel in the middle of the night. Despite the time, Nuno welcomed us with a smile and very patient explanations and made the start of our trip in Madeira very pleasant. Also the rest of the staff was very nice, attentive and helpful. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The hotel's garden is gorgeous and has a nice panoramic view of the sea and was the perfect place for breakfast. Breakfast was excellent with large variety. It is highly recommended.
