H Boutique Hotel, hotel in Pokolbin

Nestled on a ridge overlooking the picturesque Brokenback Ranges, H Boutique Hotel is located adjacent to Bimbadgen Wine Estate.

As like for other wine regions we tried to find a hotel with a winery in walking distance. This one is about 500m from Bimbadgen Estate, which features a high quality restaurant, a cellar door and a pizzeria, and we made use of all of that. We had a friendly welcome at H Boutique Hotel (also by some roos, which enjoyed the rain), and got a big room, in fact it's an apartment with bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room and a terrace. There's of course ample parking. Next to the reception there's an interesting shop / bar / cellar door... don't know what to call it, but we enjoyed a nice cheese and wine tasting there, and the next day a breakfast too (it's not open every day though, but we were lucky). It was perfect for the rainy day we had on arrival. Apart from the winery you can walk to, you're very close by car to every other Hunter Valley attraction and winery.

Spoilt with the number and quality of exceptional Hunter Valley wineries. Wines were brilliant. Cellar doors very knowledgeable and willing to share their wine knowledge as needed. The compact nature of the Valley means travel is easy and without hassles. Restaurants and concert venues are 1st class. Being so close to Sydney... it's a must to visit and enjoy the world class wines!

Beautiful area with gorgeous scenery and incredibly welcoming people at every place we went. So many little wineries to visit, chocolate and cheese. A great place to relax and wind down. We weren’t that overwhelmed by the brunches we had at Liesure Inn and Eden at the Garden Centre, but the surroundings and lovely people helped overcome that. I think some places rely on the tourist one time visit rather than getting everything right.

It turned out to be an AirBNB. Promised breakfast and had to cook myself. Not a good choice. Told by owner I could go out somewhere else to have breakfast!!!! Why when I have paid for it? Shower over spa tub in bathroom so not easy getting in and out. Tear in one of pillow slips. Furniture not very nice.

Pokolbin has quite a few things to do and a number of accommodation options at your disposal. It's just a matter of how much you can afford to spend and how much time you have to see everything. We drove around as this was easiest for a family, although you had the expensive horse and carriage or cheap electric bike hire as other options. The wineries are always a winner, but the Chocolate & Fudge Factory and Cheese Factory are good to visit as well. Take a look at Pepper Tree Vineyard. They offer free use of their gardens/vines for a picnic opportunity, but you do need to book this.

Hunter Valley Gardens was the best.

Hunter Valley Gardens was the best. Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort was horrific. Only those visitors who booked with Oaks could use facilities others could not even though we paid the same amount. We were deprived of the use of major facilities at the resort as we booked through booking .com. It was a humiliating experience, awful for my daughter. Heartbreaking. The woman at Oaks reception was vile when explaining the disaster to me.

Absolutely beautiful, I knew it would be good but it exceeded my expectations and blew my mind how beautiful it actually is!! It’s was more the comfortable for 12 ladies, the kitchen was so well equipped for us to cook up a storm, the beds and pillows were so comfortable in every room, the couches and furnishings were cosy and stunning and the fire place was the cherry on top!! Location is perfect for wine tasting and the hunter valley gardens. I could go on and on!!! If you book this property you want be disappointed 🥰

Easily the best value for money accommodation in the Hunter valley . Rooms were clean . The beds were comfortable . They have full size sofas and huge Tvs that you can get netflix and you tube on . The furniture all was brand new . Nice size pool that never got busy even in this peak season . Quiet . You have every thing you need right in front of you at the village .You are right in the center of the Hunter valley close to every thing . The money we saved staying here we spent on Wine and eating at the better restaurants .

The room was nice, had a nice view. The hotel overall is quite stunning and the foyer is so pretty. The room is a bit dated in places and a revamp would be great as the tiling is cracking and grate drains are dangerous and just overall a bit tired looking and a revamp of the tiles and overall theme of the room would help with modernising the place. Foyer, building and overall out buildings are all ok, but the room is a bit tired and let the hotel down a it, in our opinion.

I've been to the Hunter many a times but this was our first stay at Harrigan's. I must admit I am impressed, and why had I not been here before, it has everything you need! What a wonderful little "resort/motel/hotel/village" an all in one! Complete with a pool, vineyards as your backyard to explore, a pub, club and a bottle shop. The food and service is very good, loved the atmosphere. We stayed only one night but if I were to stay for a week Harrigan's is the place to be.

I booked the house for my mums 70th birthday. After doing a bit of research I decided on Among The Vines for its reviews and the price and it did not disappoint. The location is perfect, very private but close enough to the vineyards, pokolbin shops and pub. The house itself is very charming and cozy. We loved sitting in the living room in front of the fire place every evening. Beds were comfy and the house was very clean and tidy. Will definitely be returning :)

It was amazing, I'd totally recommend it! Its exactly if not more beautiful than the pictures! Really friendly couple who owns it and they gave us a bottle of red wine and some eggs from their chickens and also some chocolate just to say hello! The bed is king size, its so comfy, the location is perfect for the wineries and you are seperated from the main house so its private. Its romantic with the fire and so much better and spacious than a 5 star hotel.

The guesthouse is a beautiful spot for a romantic getaway. The entire property is gorgeous and the rooms are beautiful and super cozy. We absolutely loved our stay. Nice breakfast, great location and the hosts are wonderful people that try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Their tips on where to go for tastings and dinner were super helpful and the complimentary bottle of wine + cheeseboard were a fantastic little bonus.

Claudia at Reception was fantastic - a very helpful and pleasant young lady (Set the tone for the whole venue. Perfectly located and close to so many of the things to do in Pokolbin. The room was excellent and spotlessly clean. The food at the Bistro was good quality and the drinks were surprisingly a very good price considering the quality of the wines available.

The room was spacious and clean, plenty of storage available. The location is fantastic, so close to so many wineries, the fabulous Hunter Valley Gardens and shops, and cheese and chocolate factories. We also had breakfast every morning which was sensational. All of the staff, at reception, in the restaurant and bar, were friendly and helpful, and communicative.

Great position for the wineries and we were able to walk to some and to the Hunter Valley Gardens. The hotel has everything you need for swim, restaurant, bar and activities. We also loved the bar area where we could play pool and sit in lovely chairs in a quiet area and we could see that there were lots of other great options of things to do and look at.
