A wonderful place to hang around.
After sunset it might feel a bit uncomfortable, however I did not feel particularly unsafe at any point.

Great history and narrow lovely streets to walk through.
Great history and narrow lovely streets to walk through. Visit to Popes old digs and the old bridge were great. Natural museum was free, however it took only 15 minutes to see the collection. Restaurant’s and food there were great as well. Could do without all of the beggars on the street, some who were obviously drunk and quite aggressive constantly asking us for money. Carry some coins just in case you get cornered and feel threatened as it’s the easiest way out of it without risk.

Avignon once was a beautiful old town, rich in history and lovely to walk around is. These days, however, the city is horribly dilapidated; at least two out of every ten shops is closed forever and their storefronts are covered in graffiti.
Another deception is the fact that it is very hard to find affordable restaurants serving French food, since the centre of town is filled with tourist traps serving pizza's, couscous and similar imported dishes.

Beautiful, historic, walkable city, with numerous plazas, charming narrow streets and great restaurants. Popes palace and surrounding area was spectacular, with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Great base location for day trips to other nearby interesting towns like Arles and Orange and others.
Everything!Location was the best. It’s easy walking
distance from the train and it’s in the center, inside
of wall. walking distance to all Avignon’s attractions.
People in front desk was exceptionally nice!
And speak English,this unfortunately rarely.
Room is a big size and has everything you need.
Toilet separately from bathroom !
And finally breakfast was very good with a lot of varieties! Everything was very clean!
If we need to stay in Avignon again we going back to hotel Bristol without a doubt.
Everything! The inn is absolutely gorgeous! Brian, the owner, has thought of every little detail to make the property very welcoming. We were there for 8 days and wish it was longer. I honestly can’t say enough about Bastide de Bellegarde. The location is perfect for visiting Avignon and beyond. The breakfasts were amazing - Alex did a spectacular job with the omelettes. We really felt like we were staying with friends, rather than a “hotel” atmosphere.
The Hotel is perfectly located in the centre of Avignone, close to the most of historical sites and restaurants.
Breakfast is good, and the space devoted to breakfast is nice and clean.
Our double room was sufficiently large, with two large windows.
Very well the heating in the room and in the bathroom.
Finally the hotel is very close (100mt by foot) to the parking mentioned in the hotel description.
Nice hotel close to everything in Avignon. The owner was so helpful and nice. Showed where everything was and where to go for dinner. That is not very common anymore. Normally they don’t know anything but not in this case.
The room was very nice with a small terrace. It was to cold to be there but in the summer it must be nice.
Good beds and very nice bathroom.
Good arrangement with parking.
an exceptional place an exceptional host and everything you hope for in a guest house. you feel at home with comfort of a 5 star hotel. perfect breakfast made of fine local even homemade products. a spacious room, great architecture and very kind and caring host. it is an inspiring experience - we wish we could stay there longer
We felt at home. The staff was very nice to us and the kids, who did not want to leave at all. The restaurant at the hotel is very convenient and the food is good. Big pool in a garden. There was no noise from the airport.
If ever we will travel to Avignon again, we will come back.
Thank you for the nice experience!
The breakfast was amazing! They had yogurt and fruit, pastries, cheese, cured meats, bread and jam. They also had a selection of teas and the best coffee in France. The accommodations were lovely very well decorated and 2 of the sweetest cats. It was also conveniently located between the train station and downtown.
This 2 bedroom apartment was huge with large double beds in both bedrooms. Beds were very comfortable. The washing machine was very handy. Very big bathroom with separate wc. Air conditioning throughout which worked well. Over 3 weeks in France we stayed in 7 different places and this was easily the best.
Such a lovely place to stay - the owners were super friendly, the house beautiful and clean, and the breakfast in the garden was the highlight of every day. We felt like we were staying at a friend’s house rather than a hotel, and we couldn’t have imagined a better way to spend our time in Avignon
Lovely small hotel in the old town of Avignon. Although our room was small it was modern and clean with a comfortable bed, good air conditioning and a good shower. Rosalie our host was friendly and helpful. She served an excellent breakfast on the outdoor terrace. We enjoyed our stay.
We always choose this hotel when in Avignon. Although in the very heart of the city center, it is quiet, luxurious and great staff. They set up a dinner reservation at one of the best hidden restaurants. Really love staying here.
We like the room here and it suits or 3-4 persons. Sofa bed is nice and comfort. The hotel is in walkable area from Avignon TGV Station. We walk from TGV station at late night, and all is ok. Staff / reception stands by 24 hours.
Terrific location and well priced. In short walking distance to the train station, the Pope’s Palace and restaurants. Stayed here for 5 nights, had our best sleep here during our two week vacation in southern France.
The Hotel is situated just outside the old town and close to many tourist attractions. This is the big plus. Our suite was also huge and the beds were the best on our trip. We also had a roof-terrace which was nice.
Hotel located in the heart of Avignon old town, so very convenitent to travel around Avenigon old town. Friendly staff and good receiptist provided information for travellers. Good boutique hotel for visitors.
Nice place a bit outside of Avignon but still easy to reach the city center by car or bus. The breakfast is really awesome and the best we ever had in an ibis hotel
