The property was difficult to access at first the door was dodgy. We accessed and did not have a room number but the telephone call came back quite quickly. The room was a little over crowded with furniture , the two arm chairs were not necessary. The room was clean and tidy but a little dated. The en-suite bathroom was fine and the shower was great. It was central to town but there is little in the town. We purchased a chinese and returned to the room where bowls and cutlery were provided which were ideal. For the money paid we thought it was fine.

Went with my 2 children , age 6 and 10 and my partner.
Hosts were lovely. Grounds were too and the children loved the horses.
The property was located centrally which was good.
The cottage was cozy and clean.
The children’s beds were fine , but the adults double bed was standard.
My partner is 6ft 2, I am 5ft 7.
We couldn’t turn over without waking up .
We had sore backs and no sleep for 2 nights so we decided to leave and checked out at tea time on the 3rd day after the second night.
We told the host and also asked for a partial refund because we didn’t stay the 4 nights as paid.
The host wouldn’t partial refund although being honest and open about the bed, tiredness annd back pain and also with having to cut the holiday short by 2 nights.
We had a 5 hours drive to as well.
I’ve been honest and that’s my experience.
Book if you are ok with a standard double bed for 2 adults.
Apart from the bed , it was nice.

Most of our time was spent outside of Camelford.
Most of our time was spent outside of Camelford. We started with Tintagel and in other days went to Boscastle and to Bude. We did walk around Camelford. There is a very nice yarn store which sells knitting needles and other re-usable supplies in addition to yarn.
With regard to 6. below, I can't say anything about golf as none of our party plays it.

Mayrose Cottage is a perfect retreat hidden away in a peaceful spot in the North Cornwall countryside, yet within easy reach of the coast. Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Isaac, Rock & Padstow are all within easy reach. Trebarwith Strand is a lovely golden dog friendly beach. And a great spot for watching sunsets too.

The house is set in a beautiful location giving you easy access to Cornwall's amazing locations but you do need a car as the amenities are not very close. It served us well as a base to travel to many of the popular locations around Cornwall.

A small Cornish village, in a good location to explore Cornwall in general, with lots of character and several good inexpensive places to eat.
Camelford is located in a basin and therefore is a bit hilly.

A nice little town, with a stay at The Countryman Hotel, that gives a great starting point for heading to some of Cornwall's most beautiful areas: Tintagel , Boscastle, Bodmin, Port Isaac, Roughtor and Crackington Haven. All within 20 minutes of the town.
The property had a washing machine, dishwasher, iron and board, hairdryer, clothes airer and vacuum cleaner which I didn't really expect! You definitely need a car if staying here and we found it was a good base to visit most of Cornwall. Wendy was very helpful with my queries and sent out the maintenance guy the following day to replace the broken light bulbs after I reported it. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at this property.
The staff were amazingly helpfuly and friendly. We booked evening meal and breakfast and both were excellent. The evening meal in particular was well priced, huge portions, freshly cooked and really good quality.
We had a great view from our room over the golf course and fields and it was quiet overnight. We weren't golfing, just using the hotel as a stopover but the location was fantastic for what we wanted - tintagel, camelford.
Very comfortable room and bed (room 2). Good shower, spacious bathroom. The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Little touches which made us feel so welcome that we ended up staying 3 nights instead of the intended 1! All instructions for arrival very clear on booking confirmation from host. Highly recommended as an affordable base for this part of Cornwall. A lovely, very old building inside.
We had a fabulous stay for my uncles 80th Birthday party. The hotel rooms were lovely, comfortable and clean. The food was amazing, the service efficient and friendly. Nigel, Nikki and the team were great, everything was so well organised, a big thank from all of us. We will definitely be going back for another carving.
Very good, spacious apartment which is well located for exploring Cornwall, with easy parking at front door. Comfortable beds and excellent shower. Helpful communication from host over any minor query. Free Wifi which was not listed on facilities that were available at property was a welcome bonus.
Amazing house. Enthusiastic and passionate house holder. Comfortable place to live. Amazing dining room. Best place to stay in Cornwall. Easy reach to touristic venue. Will come again and recommend to my fds and family! Thank you for offering such a nice place for relaxing!
I am a vegetarian and the breakfasts were really delicious.
Gregg and Debbie were very friendly.
Camelford may not appeal to everyone but it is seems like a bit of real Cornwall away from the holiday cottages of the coast
Camelford is a delightful little town with very easy access to Tintagel by bus. the room was nice and comfy with a good hot shower. The terrace was so pleasant and the host were so kind, was a perfect place for our stay.
Comfortable and cosy little cottage. Basic but everything you need. Location perfect for exploring the North Cornwall area and beyond.
Needed a late checkout which was not a problem.
The room was clean and bright. The cooked breakfast was good, and the dining room was large. The hosts were friendly. The location is very convenient for walking into Camelford.
Amazing fully equiped apartment, the private parking touching the kitchen door is so comfortable! Great location for Cornwall tours, 15 min from Port Arthur and from Tintagle.,
The hotel provides excellent value accommodation and is conveniently located to explore Cornwall. The staff is very friendly, and full-English breakfast included.
