Very convenient for an early flight. The beds in our Classic Twin room were very comfortable with very nice bedlinen. The pillows were good for both my husband who likes a higher pillow and for me who prefers a low pillow. Good shower. Very practical room layout.

Proximity to Gatwick about the only thing going for this hotel
The narrow lane access was full of deep potholes. There were no signs stating that there was convenient access to rooms from the car park level with suggestions possibly to register first up the flight of stairs (internally there are three flights of steep stairs down to the rooms. Signage would have been helpful).
There is nothing near the hotel but water and woods so a car trip down the narrow lane is necessary even for a newspaper.
The boutique hotel room was modern and clean with a comfortable bed. Unfortunately there were essential items missing, such as no waste bin in the bedroom, no shelf for toiletries/toothbrush in the bathroom and no grab rail for elderly occupants; in fact the situation was not good for anyone with vertigo or mobility issues.
We received family guests for dinner, one meal was unfortunately overcooked so much so that the basic fish and chips meal was refunded. This reflected badly on us as hosts and will not recommend it to others for such a visit.
From arrival we were greeted warmly and shown to our room. Complimentary porridge oats, coffees and bottled water made for a welcomed surprise. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff. There is a fabulous restaurant built into the hotel called The Gurkha, the food was amazing.... We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, infact we are going to book again for next year even though the event that we attended is in its own luxurious hotel.... We just felt so well looked after at The Felbridge
The Woodcock met my expectations. BUT the Gurkha restaurant below it exceeded my expectations completely. The food and service was exceptional and as located a wee way from other amenities a cheeky stayover is well worth it if you didn't want to drive. This is a hotel/restaurant on the A22 so expect traffic noise. Hotel room was clean and came with teas and coffee and brekkie snacks. Wifi was a good connection which was great as my mobile phone coverage was poor.
The rooms were nice and pleasant, decorated well. Nice size. Nice touch with the complimentary breakfast items. Decent size TV. Self check in and out options available. Free parking on site at the hotel. Indian restaurant downstairs underneath the hotel open late. Not a far distance from London Gatwick either. Quiet location no loud noises or aircraft noises.
The Woodcock is located close to Cophall airport parking where we needed to park our car at 3-30 am on the Wednesday to leave for an EasyJet flight at 6-20am to Germany.
Rather than travel to Gatwick / Cophall airport long term parking, on the day of departure we opted to stay overnight, and have a more relaxed start to our holiday.
very friendly welcome when arriving, Indian restaurant downstairs was fab and really tasty! good size room, snacks and coffees in room. we needed a quick room before a gatwick flight and we were more than happy! very good value for money!
It's a lovely, quiet place. The room was warm and cosy. Great value for money. Full English breakfast included there is a great selection of breakfasts. The staff are all so polite and friendly. I would recommend this hotel.
Perfect for a night close to Gatwick. Simple rooms, nice touch of the porridge pots and cereal bars. They were very accommodating with the dinner, delicious Nepali food. Lovely owners and friendly staff.
Excellent food at this restaurant. We overnighted for our flight from Gatwick and it was ideal.Rooms a bit dated and small but not too bad .Would definitely use this amazing restaurant again .
The staff were all exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Very attentive and the location of the hotel was beautiful too! The food was also delicious. Would definitely recommend!!
Great for access to Gatwick Airport. 15 minute drive in the morning. Great food in the Nepalese restaurant which is part of the hotel. Best lamb curry I have ever had.
