Our hosts at Apartments Palma were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable, and our balcony had an amazing view overlooking the bay. There were a good number of restaurants down the road, and the entrance to the National Park was only a short cycle away (we rented bikes from our hosts at 10 Euro per bike per day.) We especially appreciated being able to get into our room early on our arrival, as the ferry from Dubrovnik arrived at 11am. A wonderful stay, which we can't recommend highly enough.

What a nice stay we had in Kozarica. The apartment has a fantastic view on the sea and the closest beach is only 50m away. Our hosts Luka and Lucija were very nice and helpful. Kozarica is a very small and peaceful village, perfect to enjoy some quietness and relax. A car is needed to visit the island but it’s very easy and not stressful to drive around as there is little traffic. Overall we warmly recommend this accommodation.

Beautiful quiet and small town on a fairly small island.
Beautiful quiet and small town on a fairly small island. The town had a few activities to do from bikes to SUP to kayaking and of course hiking through the very beautiful Mljet National Park. Beaches are of course rocky like in most of Dalmatia. The town will take no time to walk through, and getting around the rest of the island isn't easy unless by car (taxi or your own) -- but for the NP that's no issue as it's reachable within 15 minutes and doesn't allow cars for the most part.

Polače is lovely small village just in the heart of Mljet National Park. We enjoyed local bakery, dinner at Konoba Gunduliste and the nature all around. It is great starting point to exploring NP but also just for relaxing beach day. If you like quiet and peace places for your holiday, Polače is definitely good choice for you :).Nicole - 6.0Scored 6.0

Quiet place, inside the National Park and close to the Lakes, which is great! The beach is nothing special with a lot of sea urchins in the water. Expensive restaurants serving mostly wealthy people from yachts.

From Polače you can access the national park of Mljet easily - we hired bikes and it was a short (but hilly) ride to the entrance of the park and then we cycled around the lake and swam etc. There are a handful of restaurants in Polače - some of them are pretty expensive but there were a couple that were more reasonable.LaurenUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0

Polace is quite lonely during September, when we visited, but it is a very good location for going to the NP Mljet, because you can take the free bus (included in the NP ticket) to center of National Park. There are some nice roman ruins, but it is not must-see sight. There are few expensive restaurants serving mostly see food, mini market, bakery. If you want a place that’s low key, has a wonderful view of the water, is situated in a little town, and is convenient for exploring the park then stay at apartment Sponga. We were ready to kick back and relax, and this was perfect for us. We went swimming, hiking, and kayaking. There’s lots of biking which we didn’t do because we’d just finished a bike trip. And the food at the restaurant was excellent
