Had such a great time staying here. It is located right on the beach in front of the best place for spotting turtles. Just swim slightly to the left side, directly outside the beach cafe and in about 50-60m out you can see turtles. In terms of the room it was located a few steps from the sea so I could easily lock my things in the room and go snorkelling. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I asked for a mosquito net and they provided one. The bed was comfy. AC good and breakfast delicious.

This was one of our most awaited stays of the trip, and it didn't disappoint. Each of the rooms are unique with features like a patio or an outdoor shower. The property itself is so beautiful. Nice yoga classes. Nice restaurant. And we had a view of the volcano from our room, and that never got old :)

To me, Amed is the best beach spot of Bali.
To me, Amed is the best beach spot of Bali. Quiet, beautiful snorkeling, amazing nature and rice fields but still a simple laid back vibe. Lots of simple affordable warungs but also new coffee places (that serve meals throughout the day) with Scandinavian look
For snorkeling, we liked Jemeluk best, since it has beautiful corals and fish and a quiet sea.
Riding a scooter is easy and the roads are good.

Amed is a bit no frills in a way.
Amed is a bit no frills in a way. It's a beautiful spot for sure but the beauty is more in the relaxed feel of it and the lack of what makes some of the other places a bit plastic and un-Bali. It's a bit of a diver/backpacker scene and most of the places to eat are smaller-medium warungs, but there is plenty of variety. We are a couple in our 50s (non diving/snorkelling) and we just loved the relaxed calm of it all and the great food.
If you are a snorkeller or diver you'd be in your element here.
It was quiet when we were there ( April - Aussie school hols ) and is probably still quiet generally post covid.
It's cheap too. Maybe not Vietnam cheap for food etc, but your $$ goes a long way.
There's enough to keep you busy around the one beach but it's easy enough to get to other spots via grab. I reckon Jemeluk is the best spot though. It has a greater selection of warungs and little stores.
If you prefer the pristine golden sand experience, Amed may not be your best option but its charm goes very deep.

Beautiful snorkelling and diving.
Beautiful snorkelling and diving. Great small village with good family run Warungs, adequate shops and a decent road that’s quiet by Bali standards. Very friendly locals who arent too pushy like they are in the South.

Brilliant place to learn to dive (61 dive shops), highly recommended Ocean Dive League very experienced, very supportive 5 stars definitely. Can do awesome dives, 2 shipwrecks, coral garden etc.
If you love luxury over character I don’t think this is a place for you.
Easy to do day trips and get a personal taxi driver. Food was good. Lots of fish and eggs! People extremely kind, helpful, accommodating. Not really a place to go clothes shopping.
Definitely would go there again.
Only negative thing, so much rubbish everywhere, on the beach, in the water, on the streets. Saw a washed up dead pig on the beach!!

I would suggest 2 nights 3 days max if you are not a diver.
I would suggest 2 nights 3 days max if you are not a diver. The group I was with just snorkeled and 3 days was ample. The Snorkling was amazing and free the best I have done in Bali without paying a fortune . The trip to Amed was a tour within itself seeing the different demographics of Bali , long but worth it. I would rather look at the mountains and villages from a car and take in scenery than sit in terminal, boat for 3 hours till snorkeling tour starts.
Nyoman, Kadek and Wayan made our honeymoon the trip of a lifetime! - Beautiful, thoughtfully designed home set in the jungle amongst the treetops. Very spacious building, great breezes, LOTS of windows. Abundant gardens with coconuts, mangoes, bananas, papaya, guava, and more. Has private pool, gazebo, BBQ and if you ask Nyoman, Kadek, Wayan or Komang for anything they will do everything they can to make it a reality. Lost my passport in the airport, then found jot D send it through adap. These guys make Amed the place to stay I. Bali!
This accommodation is exceptional for its location by the beach. After a few meters of swimming, you immediately see corals and many fish, turtles, and ninja shrimp under the water. You can snorkel all day and still see something new. The staff is very accommodating, friendly. The breakfasts are excellent. Beautiful clean pool. Beautiful tropical garden. The resort is small, but perfectly adequate. The journey from the hotel to Dempasar was also excellent. We had a stop at the rice fields. Beautiful Balinese nature in the rainy season.
If you ever visit Amed, you HAVE to stay here!! the hosts are so friendly & welcoming. we received a welcome drink and some fruits just as a welcome gesture. Putu is amazing, she made sure everything for us run smoothly, always checking if everything is okay and preparing breakfast so early and on time. it’s such a personal vibe and you will meet the real and authentic Balinese hospitality. not to mention the million dollar view of mount agung!!! just a few minutes away from the beach and all the restaurants.
The most beautiful place i have stayed at in bali! Great room , comfy beds, quiet accomodation and you feel like your the only ones there. Great breakfast options also. The staff made breakfast early too on 2 occasions. Theres also some resort cats/kittens that seem well looked after which to me says alot about the people running the place!
Pool is lovely and location is great - able to walk to some warungs. As always in Amed - you need a scooter to get around.
The room was clean and spacious. The shower had hot water and the air conditioner worked perfectly but the best part of our stay was the people. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. We were always greeted with a smile, offered fresh coconuts in the morning and started our day with a delicious cup of traditional Balinese coffee. The beautiful city of Amed and the lovely people that live there will always hold a special place in my heart.
The room and the semi open bathroom is very clean. Small pool but also very clean. Love that they have a little gazebo for me to work. Near some mini markets as well. Most importantly: VERY GOOD FOOD!! Best I’ve had during my 3 weeks stay in Bali. We never even want to try other restaurants but to try all of their menu during our 3 days stay. Would love to come back for the cooking class!
One of the best hotels in Amed with stunning views from the balcony. Attention to details is exceptional. The facilities are still in new condition. Big rooms with comfy bed and sofa. As I mentioned, balcony views are stunning. Definitely worth it and I would personally recommend this hotel to someone who values the comfort the most.
The best place to stay in Amed (and probably all Bali) is the best location, right in front of the underwater temple, crystal clear water, the family here is amazing, I'm solo traveling and they made me feel like part of the family and got me involved in their activities. I will come back soon for sure. I recommend this place 100%
Great and friendly staff, helped us with hiring a motorbike and with anything else we needed. Great spot next to other hotels and restaurants. Amed is quite quiet and perfect if you are looking for an escape from the busy Bali resort places. Great for snorkelling and swimming, relaxing and peaceful time.
The best hotel of our Bali trip. We also stayed there before covid and it did not change. Next to the perfect beach for sunset, clean, and beautiful. The breakfast is good, the staff is super nice and helpful and will arrange motorbike rental and transfer to/from your next destination at good price.
Amed is beautiful and Oasis has a great location in the middle on the other street to the beach. The staff was exceptional! Friendly and helpful. Alone for them I would go back. The WiFi was the best I had in Bali! You can rent snorkels and scooter right there.
We loved our stay at Melasti Amed.
The owner and staff are so kind and helpful and the place is lovely.
Family boutique hotel, 4 rooms/bungalows only. Super authentic.
Pool and garden are beautiful too.
Will definitely come back on my next trip to Amed.
Very nice accommodation that I have ever visited, beautiful views of Mount Agung and can immediately enjoy Amed Beach. Apart from that, the rooms are very nice and the waiters are very friendly, next time I will visit Alam Bali again🥰🥰🥰😁
The hotel is right on the beach front. The staff were helpful. The breakfast was the best I had in bali, go for the eggs benedict . The rooms were clean and only a 10min walk to the center of Amed.
If you like the quiet, laid back atmosphere, the best snorkling and diving spots at Bali around the corner, great ocean view, friendly staff and outstanding food: this is your perfect hotel!
Honestly the best accommodation in Bali so far. Absolutely perfect location right at the beach and very good breakfast. Could even see the volcano from our bathroom. 10/10 highly recommend.
Everything! Have been staying in hotels all over Bali in this price range, and this was one is a 10! The breakfast, the staff, all were just wonderful. Highly recommend.
The apartments are super clean and have an unreal view of the ocean. Loved the Balinese coffee and the family that owns the homestay are all lovely!! Will come back!
