A lovely hotel. All staff were very friendly and helpful. There were wonderful views from our balcony overlooking Lago di Maggiore and the high mountains beyond. The food in the restaurant was first class as it was in the the Bistrot Imbarcado, which the hotel also runs, and where the seating is alongside the lake. A good ferry service from Porto Valtravaglia makes it easy to visit Stresa, the Borromeo Islands and market day in Luino. We will certainly be back!

Albergo Cristallo is located in Cittiglio town centre. It offers classic-style accommodation, a garden with BBQ and a traditional restaurant with bar.
