We visited in May and the weather was vey pleasant, not too hot and good for visiting attractions and hiking. I really liked this island. It was relaxing but there were also attractions to visit both on Lipari and the surrounding islands. Lots of restaurants in Lipari town centre and easy to walk around. Lipari is easy to get to for the main land and we travelled via fast ferry from Milazzo.

Claudio and his family are very nice and go out of their way to make sure guests are pleased. Claudio knows the island and dropped us off at the start point for our walks ... we always felt very secure. The island too is full of friendly sociable people!CharlesCanada - 10Scored 10

A beautiful place to stay. Easy to navigate, great waterfront access, excellent transport. Plenty of local eateries ranging from takeaway to sit down dining. The room I stayed in was fantastic. Would stay again and extend my visit plenty more to see and do.RobertAustralia - 10Scored 10

The island of Lipari is the perfect location if you are looking to escape the mainland. Relaxing, refreshing, rejuvenating. Be sure to rent a scooter to make your trip more convenient. I recommend to travel around the island after the beach for sunset, it takes about 1 hour to do the whole loop.MarcFrance - 10Scored 10

Beautiful, historic, quiet and tranquil escape from the mainland. I LOVED Lipari - it was a very friendly island. I didnt see enough outside the main town unfortunately. There are some lovely restaurants in the passenger port area, very lively at night with families. Some lovely secluded beaches where I took a swim in teh crystal clear water. Excellent cathedral on the hill with historic excavations of the bronze age dwellings, amazing.

Great views from various places on the island.
Great views from various places on the island. The beaches are really nice and the water is crystal clear. You need a car although there seems to be some public transport/buses, too. A place to visit is the old town of Lipari. There are many good restaurants in lively Canneto or Lipari. You may want to go to Acquacalda if you prefer a quieter environment.

The decor and other touches are beautiful, everything clean, sparkling and wonderful. the views over the harbour and towards Volcano are wonderful and being high up very peaceful and quiet. You can walk down to Lipari and to Canneto on the other side fairly easily. we are both elderly but managed both the walk through the tunnel and the fairly steep earth path to Canneto both in daylight and the dark, torch required.

The location is very peaceful away from the town. Linda is a super host, really hospitable. She collected us & dropped us back at the Port on arrival/ departure and offered to drop us to town if she was heading that way. Apartment was 1 bed, bathroom & kitchen with sofa & table which had everything you needed to cook a simple meal.

It is a steep climb from the center, but the owner offers to take you from the ferry and bring you back there after check-out.
