We went to Bardolino on the Eastern shore the previous year...
We went to Bardolino on the Eastern shore the previous year and liked Manerba in the West of the lake better. Bardolino and Garda are very touristy and not so much genuine Italian as the other side of the lake around Manerba, Saló and Desenzano. Compared to the same time of the year on the East of the lake there were many more tourists than on the West side of the lake, and this would not only tell because the West seems to be less crowded, but there were many more Italian people in the bars and restaurants and in the shops, the shops were much less centred on selling inexpensive souveniers but rather clothes, shoes, 'normal' things. Also, in the West it was much easier to find a decent sized Italian supermarket. We were pleased to find quite a few vineries selling their produce often alongside olive-oil. Hiking the countryside is easier and visiting destinations on the lake like Isola del Garda and Sirmione only a little boattrip from any of the small ports. The easy trip to Desenzano and Saló were very much worth it but what caught us most was the trip to Brescia. The city does not look much when entering the city from the motorway, but has such an interesting city centre with such a rich history. There are so many bautiful places to sit and eat, so many interesting shops and most of all the UNESCO World Heritage sites with Roman and Medieval History. Do go and visit it, anybody interested will not be disappointed.AAnonymousGermany - 8.0Scored 8.0

Manerba dG is about half way from Desenzano and Salò, less than 15 Km from the A4 motorway. Very nice places easy to reach by bike or car all around. You can find many nice and very good restaurants in Manerba and Moniga, in every class of price (from 15 to 100 or more, it depends on what you drink). Visit: Peschiera dG, Valeggio sM, Gardone riviera. Good for shopping: Desenzano, Peschiera and Salò.

The part of Manerba del Garda we stayed in was quiet and peaceful with local restaurants and shops and markets twice a week. Beaches within 1km and the port with site seeing trips etc. Larger branded supermarkets (Lidl and Eurospar) very nearby. Well worth a visit.

The view alone is worth every penny, and the spacious rooms, terrace, pool, and pool bar add even more value to the experience. Additionally, the hotel offers free parking spots, which is a great convenience. The accommodation itself was equipped with everything you need during your stay, such as washing machine, utensils, pots, etc. You definitely get more than you pay for at this wonderful place. The double room was big with a double bed and an extra bed for 1 person, the balcony was big (a table with 4 chairs and a lot of space to move) and a very beautiful view at the lake. The apartment is beautifully decorated, and everything is well-maintained. Located in the center of Manerba del Garda, it offers easy walking access to the lake and surrounding areas. The parking area is spacious, and the neighborhood is peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

They have good restaurant inside their grounds and small groceries shop. The pools were clean. Mini-golf was great. Sup rent on the beach was affordable. We have had a lot of fun.
