small, mostly 20thC thermal spa town with Roman archeology. good restaurants and cafes. people come here for the thermal waters and hot mud treatments. Lots to see by bicycle or a short car drive in the local hills. Stay close to the station for easy rail journeys to Ferrara, Bologna, Padua, Venice .

It was a run down town that only catered to people wanting to swim in the spa pools in the hotels. the hotels could have been placed anywhere including a city centre - the local surroundings were very residential and un-interesting.

- 9.2Scored 9.2SuperbRated superb· 305 reviewsThe stuff was very kind and smiling, helpful, the room we had was huge, with own sauna, all clean, comfortable, with nice design, the pool is large, inside and outside the building, closed really late 11 pm which is great, the pool bar and the restaurant have a good food. We parked our car at the hotel parking without nay problems. We had fruits and water in teh room, no extra charge for that which is not that obvious nowadays. We could have stayed there longer but we planned a road trip, each day somewhere else, need to go back there though.

Swimming pools and whirlpools make a combination of joy, swimming, exercise and healing water treatment. Hotel staff was friendly and attentive, quality of food service and how it was organised exceeded all expectations. Special thanks to the receptionist Eugenia for her attention and providing helpful information during our stay and thanks to all hotel staff for such a wonderful week of family vacation. It will always be a pleasure to be back.

The breakfasts provided where over the top fantastic! Saturday evening lobby  party with hors d'oeuvres and live music absolutely took our stay to a special place. Food is fantastic and the entire staff delivers their best in hospitality. Also so close to train depot with many straight line trips to Venice each day. We were sad to leave. We even had the pool to ourself for 1h. We had a free upgrade to a suite. Which was gorgeous and the bed was firm. Internet worked well. Breakfast was plentiful and they make you the coffee you request. The hotel is dated but in a nostalgic way and it is kept well. I personally liked the vibe of the 1930s and all the mismatch furniture .
