Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi is a pleasant town with some good restaurants and frequent public buses. It is difficult to pick up buses to Positano and Amalfi as they are almost always full. Buses to Sorrento take about 25 minutes and are easily accessible.

Sant'Agata is a central location to so many amazing opportunities to enjoy Massa Lubrense and the Amalfi Coast. I loved the small town feel with just a few little cafes and shops. You can really get away from the crowds of tourists. Only downside is that while there are buses that connect to the town, it's probably best to have some transportation. If you do anything, you must explore the village and visit the various shops, restaurants, bars, etc. It's a unique experience. Don't hesitate to speak with the locals. We liked the room, the views, the pool & breakfast. We thought all outdoor areas were in need of a spruce up to be more attractive & appealing. The walk to Sant'Agata was lengthy & a lot of uphill, maybe a shuttle bus would be good. Also cost of evening meals are expensive, but some people don't mind that. I recommend hiring a car/scooter if using this accommodation. Sant'Agata is a great place to stay near, great village vibe. We ate at Bar Orlando mainly & met friends there for drinks. Wonderful place. Good cheap buses. Good cheap train in Sorrento. Taxi's not so cheap!!! Very overpriced.Helen FraserUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10
If you want to escape the too many tourist of the Amalfi...
If you want to escape the too many tourist of the Amalfi coast - try coming here. We were here in mid May and were a bit taken back from the crowds of people, the heavy traffic and the amount of "authentic" shops. On the other hand, Sant'Agata seemed quiet, cool, with less people and more locals. We had 2 lovely dinners here and loved the shops and the streets.

We had three rooms close together and sweet balconies with breathtaking views. Great breakfast too. The town on top of a hill overlooking Sorrento was charming. Great dinner at Michelin rated restaurant with a large terrace and professional but unpretentious service about a 10 minute walk from hotel. The owners gave us a lovely bottle of lemoncello when we left. Totally unexpected but appreciated.CiencialaCanada

The apartment was clean and spacious with all the essentials you need for self-catering. Nice to have the outdoor terrace too. The noise between apartments is completely exaggerated in other reviews - yes you can hear the fire doors to the apartments slamming in the morning / evening but that’s exactly the same in any hotel.

Location is great, as you can walk anywhere in the village, for restaurants in the evening. We had one dinner at the hotel, it was excellent. Room was shiny, very nice decorated, and lots of space. The good sized balcony, facing the pool, was so nice to sit in. The village is close to Sorrento, as well as Positano, with very easy access. I’m sure we’ll stay there again if in the area.

Pay attention if you come by bus from sorrento there are 2 busses: one goes to Santa Agata via massa lubrense - this is the one that has a stop in front of the hotel. The other one that leaves from Sorrento and goes also to Santa Agata via Priora has a different route and the closest station will be stanta agata 10 minute by foot.AnaRomania

We were greeted warmly late at night by them (though we arrived late with transport delays) and also kindly upgraded to a better room. I loved how amenities were provided. While this is an older building and hotel- and therefore the room will not be modern, it still provided comfort in the 2 nights we stayed.
