Lovely, warm, cute little cottage. Really well stocked place, everything you needed, and a lovely breakfast provided. Picturesque grounds with hens roaming around. one of the best villages in the world. Shops, Cafes and restaurants are divine. Close to other villages - Masterton, Carterton and Martinborough - so lovely all of them. Our hosts recommended Apertivo - spectacular. Also they recomended Roadrunner - incredible new Vineyard Restaurant! Clareville has an amazing cafe also - not far from Greytown...

We visited Greytown for a garden ramble which we enjoyed. The town tends towards high end customers and is perhaps expensive for many. The heritage features make it appealing as a visitor choice and it’s central locality suits it to being a hub for your visit.

Easy walking around the town.
Easy walking around the town. Very pretty small country town. Lovely shops and eateries. Very friendly people. We were made to feel very welcome wherever we went. Handy to many short beach locations ie:
Castle Point lighthouse, Lake Ferry, Cape Palliser, Martinborough and surrounding districts for wine gin and olive tastings.
Great supermarket in Greytown.

I had been staying at Castlepoint but needed more time in the area to explore the shopping in Featherston and Greytown. There is so much to do and see that I would have liked to be there longer. I was impressed with the helpfulness of the staff in the two towns who pointed me in the direction of the places I wanted to visit. Great dining and shopping in Greytown and Featherston and plenty of day walks nearby.
A very roomy, comfortable home. It was a great find and suited four adults perfectly for the five nights we spent in Greytown Very well equipped with everything we needed. Loved the array of books and games. Location was very handy. We specially enjoyed sitting on the deck for an early morning coffee and a wine in the evening. No shortage of sunny spots to enjoy.
What a pretty town Greytown is. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating.
We would definitely look at staying at Chris’s Cabin again
A long Cook Strait ferry delay saw us arriving into Greytown at 1am, very tired. Our spirits were so revived when we saw how lovely the Greytown Loft is. Plenty of space, great bathroom, comfortably and sumptuously decorated. Everything we needed, and more, was provided to make our breakfast the next morning. Quiet and private but super handy to the lovely Greytown village and short drives to other Wairarapa towns. A lovely stay.
Cute cottage in great location in country but only a few minutes drive to Greytown shops and cafes. Gail was very welcoming and even gave me some Epsom salts for my relaxing soak in the bath, badly needed after all the driving I had done in the past week. Chickens are friendly too, and I appreciated the fresh free range eggs for breakfast!
The apartment was immaculate, and stylishly decorated as well as warm and comfortable. The granola for breakfast and the homemade shortbread were thoughtful touches. It was a short stroll to the shops and eateries, and a two-minute walk to the 1860 restaurant in the Greytown Hotel which is a great spot for a meal.
It was small rooms but we had a wunderful stay and we liked the old traditional style where not every wall and floor are straight 🙂. It has this old charm and we couldn't have a better stay in Greytown. There is a Irish pub downstairs but there was no loud noice that disturbed us even though it was Friday.
Terrific stay in a really cosy, tidy and well furnished property which is very close to the town center. Plenty of space for four people. Zoe was welcoming and handover of the key was easy. Would totally recommend for a short stay in Greytown.
The Annex was cozy and clean and had all the amenities you would need and a couple I didn’t even think of. The property was beautiful, quiet and 2 minutes from Greytown which made finding things so easy.
It was very cosy and well appointed. The gardens were beautiful and the cottage quaint. There was a lot of good information about Greytown supplied and the host replied very quickly to queries.
Central Greytown location. You couldn’t get more central. Friendly staff. Quiet. Close to supermarket, shops, cafes. Super clean ( and was cleaned during our 2 night stay).
Amazing Staff with excellent service, Rooms were very clean and tidy. The location of the lodge is perfect if you are visiting Greytown for Christmas festival.
Handy location to the main shops in Greytown and an easy drive to Martinborough for the wineries. It was a beautiful space to relax and unwind for a few days.
Perfect location, right in the heart of Greytown. Elegant decor and very clean. Friendly and welcoming host. The wine, cheese, and honey were a lovely touch.
