Breakfasts were excellent with a wide variety available. Dinners were faultless, we enjoyed every one. Staff were extremely helpful. It was lovely to be able to walk out of the back door of the hotel and down through the fields, past the sweet lambs, and right down to Bassenthwaite Lake and the little church.

The Cottage and the room are fanstastic and very comfortable. The room was spotless, spacious, and equipped with all amenities. The new bathroom with a jacuzzi and a balcony with a table and chairs were a nice addition. The hosts were so nice and really kind, we loved chatting with them during breakfast and when we were coming back from hikes. The Cottage is conveniently located close to Scarborough, Whitby, and North York Moors National Park - a perfect spot for everyone willing to explore the area and have a relaxing evening after a long day.
