We found the room good for our needs,as my wife is partially disabled, the layout in the room was ideal,it was warm and comfortable and clean.when we arrived the receptionist saw my wife's condition and immediately changed our room to a ground floor 1. I thought she was very professional as I hadn,t asked for this.all the staff were brilliant and very helpfull..the good was very good and well served.I had 8 years experience as catering manager in a 200.bedroom hotel in the Isle Of Man so I have a fair idea of what to expect.my only regret is that we couldn't stay longer due to other commitments but we really enjoyed our stay and will be using your Hotel again in the near future..Kieran&Mary.Austin.👍👍👍👍👍.

I liked the live music in the bars, the choice of restaurants and the interesting shops. I got some lovely birthday presents while l was rambling round the town. Westport House and grounds are lovely, although the House is closed for renovations temporarily. Westport is a good base also for other interesting places in Mayo. All in all, good in any season.

Westport is a small town but has everything traveller could wish for. Loads of great bars and restaurants. Independent shops abound. There s s lovely atmosphere at this time of year. The locals are very friendly and it is a pleasure to visit. Close to the town are wonderful beaches and the village of Louisburgh nearby is also well worth a stop.
Finally Westport is about an hour's scenic drive from magical Achill Island.

Westport is a charming picturesque bustling Irish town...
Westport is a charming picturesque bustling Irish town situated in the West of Ireland and central to Connemara and Atlantic Way. High quality pups and eateries with traditional Irish flair, great for foodies and coffee shop lovers alike.
Traditional Irish pubs with Irish music overlook the town square and the old bridge which crosses the river where fly fishermen cast their rods. The local people are friendly and welcoming.
This B&B is super clean and has a lovely fresh feeling to it. Incredibly comfortable bed with crisp white sheets. There is a fabulous power shower, with super soft towels supplied. Breakfast was so tasty, huge portions, tea and coffee top ups offered regularly. The hosts were very friendly and chatty and helpful. We would highly recommend this B&B, perfect location for a knockranny hotel wedding. Superb value for your money!
Breakfast was included and was a really nice set up. There was a buffet but you ordered a hot breakfast separate. The staff were very friendly. I liked the spa, 15 euros each for an hour seemed a reasonable amount to pay especially when we were the only ones in there. The room was big and the beds comfy. The hotel is right in the middle of town so everything is very walkable from there.
The hotel was in a great location away from the busy and touristy town center. The cafe/bar/restaurant area and service were pleasant. The main drawbacks were that the toilets did not flush well and the third-floor room we had was hot/stuffy, and the windows would only open about an inch--for safety reasons, yes, but it was uncomfortable to try tp sleep.
Plougastel is a lovely mini hotel with exceptional quality. Woken up on time by the chirping sparrows outside my window, an envigorating power shower followed by an excellent breakfast, and a wonderful host. Location is close to town but without the noise, ideal for catching the bus to Achill island. Its my best b&b experience of the last 5 years.
i stayed at this hotel many years ago,it was a dump, but when i looked it up online it seemed to have been done up,my god as soon as we walked into the hotel it was amazing, staff, clean, lunch breakfeast was amazing,i have stayed in all of the hotels in westport ,but i will be going back to the clew bay from now onn..
Very centrally located with street parking and a safe public car park opposite with 24 hour parking for 24 hours. Excellent room with comfy bed and lovely bathroom. breakfast was very good. Great selection and fresh produce.
Overall this hotel is a great addition to Westport's tourism offering.
An absolutely wonderful B&B, extremely clean and comfortable to a hotel standard with wonderful beds! Great location to walk around and explore Westport and we were able to park across the street for no charge. Breakfast was great as well, would definitely come back!
Very good size bedrooms, very comfortable beds.
Location of hotel is excellent, very central and in the middle of great shops, restaurants, music and bars. Very well located if one wants to explore nearby sites and towns.
Staff were excellent.
Staff, location, room, shower, food, bar - super menu for both breakfast and dinner (according to vegans, local delicious beers; really the whole experience was super! This has been our favorite hotel of the trip, really stellar!
This was the best stay on our trip to Ireland . Our room was like a hotel room with charm. The view and land was gorgeous. The hostess was lovely. Breakfast was in a beautiful sunroom. Close to everything we wanted. To see
Very nice introduction to the facilities from a friendly and helpful team at the Hotel. The facilities are excellent and its location above the town gives a superb panoramic view of Westport and the surrounding area.
