We had a lovely stay with Lynn and Pete. They are very friendly and warm hosts. Our room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. A lovely bright bathroom. We felt very welcome as soon as we arrived. Lynn gave us lots of information about the area. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice.. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Excellent facilities and spotlessly clean. Lorraine and Kev are the perfect hosts. Jacuzzi bath was a godsend after a full day of exploring. Everything there you could possibly need plus more.

Very comfortable, well equipped apartment in central Buxton. We really enjoyed being able to walk to the supermarket, shopping centre and many of Buxton’s famous attractions. We appreciated having secure parking for our car. Communication with the owners was prompt and helpful. Personal touches such as the welcome message, packets of biscuits and milk for a cuppa made it all the more special. We highly recommend 2 Brocklehurst Cottages as somewhere to stay when visiting Buxton.

It only took us about 10 minutes to walk into central Buxton, where there were plenty of restaurant options. The hosts were absolutely lovely and very accommodating. We were travelling with a one-year-old and they made sure that we had everything we needed, plus were able to give us family-friendly ideas for things to do and places to eat. The breakfast was also delicious! Would definitely stay again!

Reception staff very helpful. Child friendly. Superb location. Interesting history. I score it 9/10 because of the little things that let it down, such as a broken lock on the bathroom door and the breakfast chef not being able to cook porridge despite two attempts. I would recommend and will stay here again.

There was no carbon monoxide alarm which made us anxious to sleep there. We requested a baby cot which was advertised but it was more like a pet carrier where you zipped your baby inside it. Family friendly - we didn't need a cot but they took into consideration we travelled with a toddler and a cot was waiting for us in the room without asking.
