Northwood Motor Lodge is a 4-star motel on the edge of Christchurch, only 8km from the airport. The motel offers modern, air-conditioned accommodation with free Wi-Fi. Really loved this old school motel, comfortable beds and ideal hosts. In the morning surprised with a kid’s playground (see pic). One can park directly in front of the entrance of the apt.

Kitchen well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, silverware and glassware. Bathroom was luxurious and shower was lovely. Plush robes was a nice touch - spa atmosphere. Would book again and highly recommend.

Situated on the beachfront in Kaikoura, The Anchor Inn Beachfront Motel has free WiFi. Also boasts a family room. I didn't need breakfast. Nice quieter end of main road which was what I needed, I came up to relax and it was perfect
