It was a great / superb experience staying in this beautiful hotel. Arriving in the city and at hotel means entering a different world which offers relaxation and French hospitality. Flowers and vine branches everywhere with old machinery such as wine presses on display. If you love romantic rooms with old but restored furniture (like we do), however with a modern bathroom it is a MUST to book this hideaway! We also had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant - it was very tasty and the prices were totally fine! Another plus point: As it was my boyfriends birthday i asked if it is possible to have a small cake in the morning ... well it worked out and we both had 2 wonderful tartelets in the morning - THANK YOU! In general the region is very scenic - there are quite a lot of things to do (especially for kids being 6/7+) BUT Bergheim is very sleepy. If you want to have a drink in the evening (especially on Wedndesdays / thursday when the restaurant is closed) it is almost impossible to find something. So get some drinks in advance and take advantage of the 2 beautiful inner courtyards of the hotel.

The town is absolutely beautiful and well worth a visit in itself, and the hotel was wonderful. We had a lovely family room which was very clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely and friendly and there was free parking too. The restaurant was fully booked so I can't comment on the food, but from what I saw being brought out it looked lovely too! I would happily return to this hotel and would highly recommend it - loved it.

Every thing! We went for a spa weekend with our french bulldog (which sleeps a lot) and everything was perfect. The room was comfortable with enough space to walk around, the bathroom was very warm. This room was a little outdated but very charming. The spa facilities are definitely high standards, 2 different sauna, a hamman, a pool with jacuzzi space, everything is made to relax. The restaurant was also great, food was qualitative and servings a good size. The staff were very nice, helpful and friendly. Special ++ for the delicious easter cake on the door step on the Sunday morning!

With this is mind reception had very thoughtfully allocated us a fantastic room in a neighbouring annex, which was very well appointed, quiet and with its' own car park. Close your eyes and imagine an idyllic place nestled in vineyards overlooking a charming Alsatian village where the church bells ring out the hours of the day -- this is Hotel Val-Vignes. The staff are incredibly friendly and highly professional. The rooms spacious, clean, and comfortable. The Table de Val-Vignes is offers outstanding food , drinks., and service. The morning breakfast is excellent. The view from the hotel patio is breath-taking. It is a short walk down to the lovely village of Saint Hippolyte. And be sure to take a walk in the nearby vineyards -- incredible views. Long uphill hike or short but tortuous drive up to the castle of Haut-Koenigsbourg but worth the visit.
