Exeptional behavior of the staff made us feel as royals. Employees were offering helping hand in every step of the way. Room service coming to tidy up the room twice a day were highly appreciated. No funny fights for sunbeds near the pools, there were plenty of those enough for all visitors. Location is also great, it's cozy & quiet place however very close to city center and other interesting places.

The hotel is in the very city center where you have everything at hand. Just around the corner from the cathedral or Avenida do Mar with all the buses going around the island. The staff are so nice and helpful! When I mentioned that I would have leave before breakfast they immediately suggested to bring something to my room in the evening and put it in the mini fridge for me. Also, they didn’t have a slightest problem with storing my luggage for a week, when I hiked across the island. The service was just perfect! The room was clean, quiet and well equipped. Would stay again.

This hotel features a rooftop infinity pool, conference rooms, a buffet and an à la carte restaurant and four bars. 10/10 What a great experience! From the moment you walk in you're taken care of. Everything just flows from there. Zero friction from start to finish so you can enjoy your holidays to full extent. The style of the hotel is a matter of taste, but we enjoyed it a lot. All areas breathe comfort and luxury. Extra compliments to all staff that surprised us with an upgrade because of a celebration we had. Good choice of restaurants and options both inside and outside the resort. Can't go wrong here.

The newly renovated 4-star Hotel Baía Azul is ideally situated a 4-minute walk from Funchal’s beachfront. It offers 3 swimming pools, 3 restaurants, a Spa and a sun deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the gardens. Lovely hotel beautiful views lovely pool the hotel was fully booked but didn’t feel like it very impressed with it will definitely come back they even let us check out later than usual at 2 pm and we could use the showers by the Spa very accommodating
